Meeting called to order at 7:10 pm.
Minutes from last meeting approved (Lynn moved/Carey seconded, unanimously
approved).

Secretary’s report (Mary Fluke): an e-mail vote was held during January and February in
which the propsed slate of officers was approved for 2007.
Current membership stands at 24 households with some renewals still pending.
(Questions was raised about where our membership is centered geographically at this
point--MF will try to build a map to figure that out.)

Treasurer’s report (Mike Williquette): current balance stands around $1700. Mike will submit
a more complete report via e-mail.

Old Business: Langley KC supported entry deadline passed before we could execute
paperwork. We’ll get it done for next year.

New Business: Bobbe Jackson outlined our requirements for getting our AKC approval.First of 2 Fun Matches to be held tonight, then we’ll need to do 2 “B” matches, then 2 “A”matches. Bobbe hopes that we can get ourselves established so that we can host thePBGV National when it next comes to the east coast (2011?) Next plan will be for thesecond fun match will include obedience (and Rally?). Once we have the second fun match we can make our application/presentation to AKC. Concern was raised again aboutinsurance. Wendy Murphy suggested that we look into single event insurance (ballpark$100 per event) to cover that base. A committee (Kim T., Mary F., Lynn R.) wasestablished to figure out where to have the next fun match (Winston Salem April 1?, PKC?

MAHA?)

Next item--we want to have an ongoing ad in Sabertails to promote the club. BeverlyChilds will undertake this as she is doing the ads for the magazine. Thank you, Beverly!

Trophies for the National--Beverly Childs asked that the CPBGVC offer trophies for theNational. Lynn Rowell suggested that we offer several rosettes on bigger wins to spreadout our money and get more recognition. We decided to offer rosettes for High in Trial,Best of Oppostie, Rally Novice A and Novice B for a total of $65. Nancy Terhune offeredto pay for an additional rosette in our club’s name (Best Bred By) for an additional $20.Mike Williquette asked about a trophy to recognize hunting titles. It was too late to add anything additional for this year, but there is the option to offer awards at the banquet.Lynn Rowell moved and Maggie Lutz seconded the proposal to offer the rosettes--passed unanimously. Mike Williquette will send $85 for the rosettes (thank you, NancyTerhune for your generous addition to the fund).

More discussion of trophies for hunting dogs (Bobbe, Mike, Shirley Knipe)--to becontinued at our next meeting.

Bobbe moved to adjourn (Mike Williquette seconded)--approved. Meeting adjourned at

6:52 pm.
